On St. Patrick's Day, we worked with Bennigan’s Restaurant connected to the hotel. Roughly 150 green jello shots were made and sold to the patrons throughout the night. The St. Patrick’s Day event raised $84 in donations. The night began with us showing up and getting some shirts so we would look like the rest of the employees at the restaurant. Then, we were shown into the cooler to where our supply of jello shots would be. Each of us got a serving tray, and we walked around asking people at the tables and booths if they would like to buy a jello shot. People were somewhat reluctant when first asked, but they would generally change their minds after seeing us walk by several times with the trays. Many people were much more generous then would be expected, as well. The shots were $1 each, but there were many times we would get a $5 or $10 and the customer would tell us to just keep the change since it was for such a great cause. People were very accepting of us and the organization we were promoting.
